Lake Forest residents are encouraged to join Nextdoor, a free social networking service that connects neighbors online. It is our primary communication method for Neighborhood Watch. Local public agencies also use Nextdoor to share information and events of interest. By becoming a Nextdoor member, you can share recommendations for home repairs, find lost pets, share security alerts, and follow special interest groups of your choice. You can also buy, sell, and trade items conveniently with folks in your neighborhood.
Nextdoor is a threaded, discussion board forum. You can subscribe to only the Lake Forest neighborhood or add over 50 other nearby neighborhoods to your news feed. You control what information you share and what emails and alerts you receive. Mobile apps for Android and iOS devices are available but offer limited function compared to the website.
